Our founder has been active in all aspects of the restaurant industry from creating concepts; to owning and operating, to growing brands through joint ventures and franchising, to advisory; in Europe and the Middle-East.
Walid started up HDC in 2007, with a regional development mandate. Under his tenure, the firm closed exclusive joint ventures (17 territories); built and operated 6 reputed and promising restaurant brands from NYC, Paris and Lebanon such as “MEGU”, “Tse Yang” or “Pampano., Allison Nelson’s Chocolate Bar NYC , Burj el Hamam.
While at Synergy Hospitality (an 800 staff firm he co-founded), he conceptualized; developed and operated concepts such a Circus (200 seats - high end fusion cuisine & live venue); and La Posta (authentic Italian high end) amongst many others.
